October 2013

October brought more family in!  We got to spend two weeks with Dad and Nancy.  We traveled to 6 different places in the 10 days they were here. Chase traveled really well.  The first night they were in town, we went to dinner at Sperer Brau in Sulzbach-Rosenberg.  There was a live Rolling Stones cover band, and great food and beer all night! What a great way to welcome the 'rents to Germany.  We had fun travel days and also a few great days at home, and of course lots of beer!

Chase had his First Halloween this October.

My brother Derek was traveling to Finland for business and managed to schedule his layover in Munich.  Chase and I were able to spend the day with him.  Unfortunately we it was a German holiday, so everything was closed.  We did a lot of walking around Friesing.  We also ate at the oldest brewery in the world (started in 1050).

Chase Month 1

Our little boy Chase is growing so fast right before our eyes, just like everyone said he would. The remainder of our summer (August and September) were filled with lazy days, and lunches on the patio while Geoff and I got to know Chase.  One week after Chase was born, Geoff was selected to go to Advanced Leaders Course.  This was a month long school, 6 days a week.  It required studying and a lot of hard work.  Geoff passed with flying colors and Chase and I were able to attend his graduation.  Chase slept through most of the ceremony, even through all of the yelling and loud music!

Chase is working hard at keeping his head up all by himself.  It is a hard task with a melon the size of his!! We have fallen into a routine here at home. We have lazy mornings and cuddle on the couch after breakfast.  Chase is starting to sleep longer at night, which is welcomed by Mommy!  He wakes up and is all smiles and giggles.  Here are some pictures from the first few months of his life.
