January 2014

2014 Theme: May the simple things be amazing!

Geoff and I are still on cloud 9 with our son, Chase.  I am so blessed to be able to have the time to spend with him each and every day (and most of the night too).  The simple things like quiet mornings with Chase and Geoff, watching Chase explore and learn about his world are things I will cherish for the rest of my life.  It was a hard adjustment to "stay at home" wife/mom, but I am truly blessed to have been able to slow down and enjoy my time here, knowing that one day it will be much different.

No Bazemore in this house made midnight.  Chase and I were technically awake at midnight, and I snagged a midnight kiss (xoxo).  We enjoyed the family time together. Here are some pictures :

Chase had his first bite of solid food on January 4th.  He had a few bites of homemade sweet potato puree.  He really liked it!!  He has mastered rolling over in one direction and is now sitting in his Bumbo seat! At his  4 month check up this month he weighed 17 pounds and was 26.25 inches, with a head circumference of 17.75 inches.  Still no teeth!!

December 2013- Chase's First Christmas

We had a wonderful relaxing Christmas morning with Chase.   We were showered with love from our family who all went out of there way to send presents and make us feel as close to home as possible.  We are truly blessed with such wonderful families.  Chase had his Christmas PJ's on, but they didn't last through presents.  There was no snow for Christmas 2013, in fact, there was hardly any snow the whole winter.  Germany had a total of 1.75 inches of snow accumulation for the entire season.  Most days the snow was melted by noon.  Geoff and I had an amazing prime rib dinner, with corn casserole, ambrosia salad,_______.  Chase stayed up with us through our dinner.  This was one of the first times Chase ate with us at the table as a family, something we have been looking forward to since he was born.  Chase also provided the entertainment for the evening.  He was very jolly (as usual for him) and laughing up a storm.  I captured some of it on video, Click the underlined link to watch the video. Chase Laughing at his name, 4 months old.  It is mind blowing to think that last year at this time Chase was only the size of a lime.  Everyone was in bed early, Chase at 4 months old is still feeding at night 2-3 times.

Chase and his Cuteness!

October 2013

October brought more family in!  We got to spend two weeks with Dad and Nancy.  We traveled to 6 different places in the 10 days they were here. Chase traveled really well.  The first night they were in town, we went to dinner at Sperer Brau in Sulzbach-Rosenberg.  There was a live Rolling Stones cover band, and great food and beer all night! What a great way to welcome the 'rents to Germany.  We had fun travel days and also a few great days at home, and of course lots of beer!
Meeting Grandma and Grandpa for the first time!

Chase had his First Halloween this October.
My First Halloween!

My brother Derek was traveling to Finland for business and managed to schedule his layover in Munich.  Chase and I were able to spend the day with him.  Unfortunately we it was a German holiday, so everything was closed.  We did a lot of walking around Friesing.  We also ate at the oldest brewery in the world (started in 1050).
